A Singaporean girl, living for the past 30 years of my life on this sunny red dot (that's what it appears as on the globe and map!). When I'm not travelling to explore other amazing destinations and gobbling up good noms-noms, I'm a full-time registered social worker, helping renal patients cope with their dialysis treatment, social and financial issues and daily living. I
My curiosity on living life to the fullest (An irony!) 'm often curious about life and it is this curiosity which drives me to do more in life. I believe in living life to the fullest, even if one is at his/her most low point or most broke! Whatever one's circumstances are, if the mind is set, the body and limbs are willing - one can amazingly do and achieve many things in one's life. Achievements are not about making the most money or having all the luxuries in the world BUT it is about what makes one happy. For some, it could be simply as helping other or travelling around the world on a budget. For me personally, it's having the means to travel, to discover different cultures, languages, to know people, to discover different food, live a meaningful life and this includes doing charity.
My life journey My adventures have led me to living my life meaningfully in a wholesome kind of way. I'm blessed to have been able to travel and experience the world. I'm blessed with a job which allows me to provide back to society. BUT that's not all. I felt I could do more. So, I decided to dabble in creative arts and guiding others to explore unique crafts and wellness. In 2016, I co-founded Hola Creatives, a creative consultancy space which dabbles with unique arts and crafts, events and wellness activities. During my free time, I do Zumba, experiment with cooking various cuisines, read and once in awhile, you might just catch me being a freelance tour guide around Singapore to my foreign friends who visit.
I started travelling only when I was 25 years old. Nonetheless, I made up for time lost over the years and to date, I've set foot upon 20 countries, 45 cities and still counting on.
My world contributions (Ahem! Just a small one) I've been contributing travel reviews for TripAdvisor since 2009 (am now a Senior Contributor and still churning reviews out online). Amazingly, most of my readers came from abroad from countries like the US, UK, India and Australia. If you, dearest appreciated passer-by or travel junkie wish to know more reviews - check out my TripAdvisor's reviews under the profile of Irina W). I decided to stop procrastinating (like I always do) and step foot into the world of travel, food and lifestyle blogging too! In the near future, I do wish to carry out more philanthropic work, perhaps around the world. But for now, do join me on my journey to explore, discover yummy fare and experience different cultures, without ever forgetting to nourish the self in all aspects!
