As promised to my readers of the blog - as I go through a process of healing and rediscovering myself, I start believing truly in what self-care is. Without care for the self, there is no YOU. Sounds complex enough, just think without caring for YOUR SELF - what will happen? You will but suffer in perhaps not all but most aspects of one's life such as health first and foremost, career, aspirations, social etc. All of these are inter-linked with each other. And I did find out about the dreadful fact in the hardest way ever - my health suffered. That led to many other areas of my life slowing down and seeing a drop. Poor health got me thinking and deciding that no matter - I NEED to CARE for myself first, even before doing anything else i.e. caring for others as per my day job as a social worker or even having fun travelling around the world (who enjoys travelling while one is down with sickness? No one I am sure.)
Hence, having good health means you can focused at work better, you can do many things such as going out with friends, travel, having good food and chase your dreams isn't it? So, my blog is not only about my travels, the food I tried out in different countries and at different places BUT it is also going to emphasise on the need to care for the self while enjoying all these. And CARE is going to be in the form of physical exercise, meditation (mindfulness practice), daily life routines/habits which are healthy for the body and mind, the list goes on. For a start - here are 3 basic tips of self-care to include in one's daily life. TRY IT!
